Elsenham Community Association has installed LED lighting throughout Elsenham Memorial Hall.
Project Status Information
After taking advice from Jarvis Electricals at Steeple Bumpstead, in January 2025 we installed six batten lights in the Main Hall, 2 in the entrance hall, 1 in the committee room plus smaller lights in the kitchen & 3 toilets.
This cost us about £1,000 plus VAT.
LEDs consume up to 80–90% less energy than traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs, leading to much lower electricity bills. They also have a much longer lifespan, typically 25,000–50,000 hours, require little maintenance, contain no toxic materials and are fully recyclable. The upgrade was Installed in January 2025 and we instantly saw a reduction in our energy usage.
