What We Do
Run regular meetings for the network, both on-line and face to face
– bringing people together to network, to hear about new projects within the district, to hear about new funding sources, and generally compare notes.
Organise other meetings, such as talks, both on-line and face to face
deep diving’ into specific topics that are of interest to the overall community.
Create and maintain a website/portal with general SU information and group/project directories
– Providing a means to connect people, in between the meetings. Enabling people in the district (and outside) to explore and benefit from all of the current and historic work done by communities in the district. Learning what works and what doesn’t, and getting a significant head start for any similar projects a group might undertake.
Develop means/process to apply for funding to support the operation of Sustainable Uttlesford and the Districts eco groups
– Creating a directory of funding sources to be included in the web site, to share the experiences of those who have interacted with a funding source and the lessons learned and provide access to previous successful applications as ‘templates’.
