While the move to put together a National Emergency Briefing film and have it presented by local groups for their communities all over the country is admirable, and I still think that it’s worth doing/seeing, I was disappointed by the content being heavily edited to make way for responses by members of the public to the soundbites presented.
The original presentations made to our MPs and industry leaders, from which the soundbites were taken, were far more detailed, far punchier, in some ways far scarier. It showed how nature is fundamental to our national security, food security, energy security etc.
If you have seen the film and want to hear the fuller picture, go to the National Emergency Briefing website and click on each of the ‘experts’ to hear their presentation and see the written ‘key Points from the Briefing”. There’s 10 topics each with just a short video.
