Thank you to all who were involved in and attended the Big Green Festival

While the Big Green Festival may be over for this year, the momentum we’ve built together doesn’t stop here.

Across Uttlesford, inspiring ideas are already taking root – from community-led projects and behaviour changes at home, to new partnerships and local initiatives. The festival is just the beginning of what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose.

We would love to see your ideas continue to grow. Whether it’s developing an event into something longer-term, collaborating with others you met during the festival, or exploring new ways to engage the community, every step helps move us towards a low-carbon, environmentally responsible district.

There will be plenty of opportunities ahead to stay involved, share learning and build on your success.

A word from the SU Chair

“I’ve covered around 22 events in the Uttlesford Big Green Festival and my big take-away is a simple one:

“In the news and the media, we get so much gloom and despondency about what’s going on in the world – but what I’ve learnt this week is what an amazing number of people we have in our district, doing some amazing things. The range of activities I have been privileged to go and see is stunning.

“Thank you for being part of it and for everything you do to support a more sustainable future.”
