The Essex Energy Champions provide energy efficiency advice and support to encourage residents to reduce their home energy use and decarbonise where they can. The Energy Champions also aim to help people save money on their energy bills as well as reduce their carbon impact. You will see our Champions out in the community at village fetes, hospitals, Saffron Walden Market and wherever we are invited to speak to residents.
In progress – as well as training a few local groups on how to do thermal imaging of homes, we have organised and attended events alongside many Uttlesford climate action groups and are keen to do more. Our Home Visit Lead Champion lives in Elsenham, so Uttlesford residents can also benefit from a free home energy assessment with detailed, personalised advice for their home and lifestyle.
