The Bumpy is a former Victorian gravel pit, owned by Littlebury Parish Council, in the hamlet of Littlebury Green. It is less than an acre in size, and is being managed by The Bumpy Volunteer Group as a nature reserve.
We have had some success with badgers & owls moving in, and are currently trying to get the site recognised officially as a Local Nature Reserve, by Natural England. The site is open 24/7 to visitors, and we run Open Days, work parties, moth surveys etc to raise its profile.
