Radwinter Recreation Ground Charity run 4 Repair Cafes per year – usually Jan/May/July/Oct. The events are based at Radwinter Pavilion, off Water Lane, Radwinter.
The idea behind Repair Cafes is to pass on skills, so the fixer will show the customer how to fix the item and do it with them, rather than for them.
There is a team of assorted volunteer fixers who can look at small electrics, bikes, ceramics, jewellery, hats, small furniture, sewing repairs, basket repairs, woodwork and knife sharpening.
Events are advertised in local papers and on local facebook sites a few weeks before each event, or you can sign up to be notified.
Fixing slots need to be booked in advance. We are always looking to extend our team of fixers with either specialist or generalist skills.
