Friday 5 June, 6.15pmUttlesford District Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ERThe Uttlesford Big Green Festival kicks off with an exciting launch event! We will be celebrating all the community action that has has been happening on nature recovery and low carbon projects across the district. The session will blend storytelling with reflection, showcasing what has been achieved, including through the Zero Carbon Communities Fund, while looking ahead to the next phase of local climate action. We’ve got some fantastic speakers lined up, including a keynote by Simon Lyster, former Head of Conservation Policy at WWF, a strategic panel discussion chaired by Rich Yates of the Essex Wildlife Trust, and reflections by Tom Cameron who is Professor of Applied Ecology at University of Essex. We would love everyone connected to Sustainable Uttlesford to come along. We would particularly value your input and reflections on your successes and challenges, and how we move forward to scale up local engagement. Please share the event details to all your groups and networks, and encourage everyone to attend. There will be drinks and nibbles available. We look forward to seeing you there! #UttlesfordBGF |
