The fund will support projects which are of special help to specific social groups. For example, voluntary youth groups (scouts, guides, youth clubs), the elderly or disabled.
• Projects which support community life in general such as improvements to facilities such as village halls.
• Infrastructure which supports community use.
• Projects that support community drama, art, music and sporting/leisure activities.
• Environmental and conservation schemes that support access to the countryside / outdoors.
Please do not apply for operating costs, running costs, maintenance, venue hire, salaries or other consumables for your project as these will not be considered. If you have received a grant from, you must wait two years before reapplying.
Schools may be eligible if they can evidence that the items will be in use of the local community including members who do not attend the school.
Statutory Bodies – may be eligible where they can evidence that the project is outside of their statutory responsibilities.
